BIO

Matt Shane was born in 1981 in Vancouver and raised in Tsawwassen, BC. He received his BFA from the University of Victoria in 2004. There he met long-time friend and nemesis, Jim Holyoak. Together they moved to Montreal to put on a collaborative drawing installation called The Utopic Dream of the Sun in a Box. Shane played drums in Think About Life and Magic Weapon and toured extensively before deciding to go to Grad School at Concordia University. He is now completing his MFA in Painting and Drawing.
